Full Soundtrack Contract

Getting a composer in on a game from the start is hugely important, especially if music plans on being an integral part of the experience. Get in touch with me early, and I can work with you and your team to concept out the music & style you're going for. When it comes time for implementation, I can put my design experience to use and work with you to make every cue and transition perfect.

 

One-off Commission

Not all projects need a full soundtrack, or perhaps only need one or two additional pieces of music to really bring it together. Perhaps a main theme, or an end credits theme? Let's discuss the piece as an up-front commission rather than a long-term contract, and I can give you an estimate right away!

Lena Raine

 

Lena Raine is a composer for games & media with 11 years of experience.

 

I like to tell stories. As a kid, I wrote them down on teddy bear stationary, sometimes sang or recorded them on reel-to-reel in my dad's studio. Given my early love of music and a childhood spent singing professionally in choirs, going to school for composition made perfect sense.

At Cornish, I developed the tools necessary to tell my stories. I studied theory and counterpoint with some of the most talented composers in the pacific northwest. I collaborated with choreographers and awe-inspiring dancers, and wrote student pieces for the Seattle Chamber Players, the Saint Helens String Quartet, and others.

In 2012, I received the career-defining opportunity to compose for award-winning PC game Guild Wars 2. I've contributed ever since, and was co-composer for the game's first expansion, Heart of Thorns, as well as the retro-style Super Adventure Box. Under my electronic artist project Kuraine, I've released the EP Singularity and singles Transference & Dawn Ouroboros. Recently, I've composed for the award-winning Hackmud, as well as the upcoming games Celeste & Date or Die.

Orchestral

I have experience writing, orchestrating and conducting full orchestral recording sessions. If you want this classic sound, I love writing anything from solemn, atmospheric tracks, to full-blown epic with choir & percussion!

 

Electronic

 

I have a deep affinity for both creating synths & writing electronic music. This has ranged from traditional EDM, to more ambient synths, to just wild personal experimentation.

 
 

hybrid

Some of my favourite experiments come from combining electronic & acoustic instruments to create a sound unique to the flavour of a world or game. I'm adept at using all the tools in my belt to write something personal regardless of instrumentation.
